- 1 stale White roll
- 1 onion
- 1 garlic clove
- 1 bay leaf
- vegetable oil (for frying)
- 750 grams mixed Ground meat
- 1 egg
- 1 tsp hot Mustard
- 1 handful fresh Fresh herbs (e.g. thyme, rosemary and parsley)
- salt
- freshly ground peppers
- rosemary (for garnish)
Preparation steps

Soak bread in lukewarm water.

Peel and finely chop onion and garlic. Sauté onion, garlic and bay leaf in 1-2 tablespoons hot oil until translucent. Remove bay leaf. In a bowl, combine onion, garlic, bread (squeezed to remove excess water), ground meat, egg, mustard and finely chopped herbs. Season well with salt and pepper and mix until combined.

With wet hands, form small meatballs. Fry meatballs in 3-4 tablespoons oil until golden brown all over, about 10 minutes.

Serve meatballs garnished with rosemary.
