10 organic lemons
700 milliliters alcohol 90% alcohol content (from the pharmacy)
800 grams sugar

Preparation steps

1.

Rinse the lemon and remove the zest in strips. Place the lemon zest and the alcohol in a jar, seal tightly, and let infuse for 12 days. 

2.

Strain the liquid through cheesecloth into a bowl. Squeeze the liquid from the zest. Bring the sugar and 1 liter (approximately 1 quart) to a boil. Reduce the heat and simmer for 10 minutes, until syrupy. Mix the alcohol and syrup together, then add to a clean bottle. Garnish with lemon zest, and seal tightly.
