2 Tbsps Pine nuts
1 egg
500 grams Ground lamb
salt
freshly ground peppers
3 Tbsps vegetable oil
1 Red onion
1 tsp powdered sugar
1 splash Red wine
4 small Pita bread
1 handful Cress

Preparation steps

Rinse the cilantro, shake dry and chop. Knead the meat with the pine nuts, the egg and the cilantro. Season with salt and pepper. Shape the meat mixture into 4 patties. In a hot pan, add 2 tablespoons of oil, and cook each patty on both sides for about 6-8 minutes or until golden brown.

Peel the onion and cut into rings. In a hot pan, briefly sauté the onion in the remaining oil. Add the powdered sugar and let the onion caramelize slightly. Deglaze with the wine for about 2-3 minutes or until the onion is tender and the wine has completely evaporated.

Cut each pita bread horizontally. Devide the lamb patties, onions and cress among the pita bread. Serve and enjoy!
