- For the marinade
- 2 cloves garlic cloves (finely chopped)
- 5 Tbsps olive oil
- ½ tsp crushed Red pepper flakes
- 8 lamb chops
- For the mashed potato
- 5 cups floury potatoes (peeled and cubed)
- ¼ cup milk
- 1 Tbsp butter
- 1 tsp ground Cumin
- mixed Fresh herbs
- ⅜ cup Gravy

Preparation steps
1.
Mix together the garlic, oil and chilli flakes and season with ground black pepper. Place the chops in the marinade, cover and leave to stand overnight, turning once.

Preheat the barbecue.

Drain the chops, season with salt and grill on the hot barbecue for 2-3 minutes on each side.
4.
Cook the potatoes in salt water on a medium heat for about 20 minutes. Drain the potatoes and heat the milk and the butter. Mash the potatoes and stir in the hot milk and butter. Add the ground cumin and a pinch of salt.
5.
Arrange the mashed potatoes on plates, sprinkle with herbs and add a little gravy. Place the chops on top of the potatoes and serve immediately.
