This cheesy pasta is loaded with protein and calcium, which helps keep teeth and bones strong.
If you don't have cheddar cheese, you can use gruyere, meunster or another of you favorite cheese varieties.

- 1 Tbsp butter
- 2 tsps Corn starch
- ⅔ cup Whole milk
- ½ cup Cheddar cheese (grated)
- 1 cup macaroni (or other small pasta)

Preparation steps

Put the butter, cornstarch, and milk into a small pan. Heat gently, and bring to the boil, stirring constantly. When the sauce has thickened, add the cheese.

Cook the pasta according to pack instructions. Drain and stir into the cheese sauce. Serve as it is or mash if desired.

Mac and cheese with bacon: Cook 1 piece of bacon until crispy. Crumble or chop and stir into the macaroni cheese just before serving.

Mac and cheese with cauliflower: Steam or boil 1 or 2 cauliflower florets. Chop roughly and then stir into the macaroni cheese just before serving.
