- Ingredients
- 400 grams Puff pastry dough
- 1 onion
- 250 grams ham
- 500 grams Chestnuts (cooked in a vacuum pack or frozen)
- 200 grams candied Fruit (dates, apricots, figs)
- 200 grams grated Hard cheese (goat cheese)
- 4 eggs
- 200 grams Cottage cheese
- salt
- cayenne pepper
- 1 egg yolk
- butter (for greasing)
Preparation steps
1.
Preheat the oven to 180°C (approximately 350°F). Grease a pan with butter.
2.
Roll out dough into a rectangle, about 40x20 cm (approximately 15x7 1/2 inches).
Peel and chop onion. Finely dice ham. Finely chop chestnut. Coarsely chop fruit. Combine cheese, eggs, cottage cheese, onion, ham, chestnuts and fruits. Season with salt and cayenne pepper and spread on the center of the dough.
Wrap the dough up into a roll. Place in the pan seam side down and press the ends together. Brush with egg yolk and bake for 60-70 minutes. If the pastry becomes too dark, cover with aluminum foil. Remove from pan, slice and serve.
