Preparation steps

1.

For the dough, mix flour and salt in a bowl with the yeast. Add water and olive oil and process everything with the dough hook of the electric hand mixer until smooth. Sprinkle dough with flour, cover and let rise in a warm place for about 30 minutes.

2.

For the topping, trim broccoli, divide into florets and blanch for 2 minutes in plenty of boiling salted water. Drain, immediately rinse in cold water and drain.

3.

Rinse bell peppers, trim, cut in half, remove the seeds and ribs and cut into pieces. Peel carrot and cut into thin slices. Season the crushed tomatoes with salt, pepper and oregano.

4.

Knead dough on a lightly-floured surface and roll out on a greased baking sheet. Spread tomato sauce on the dough. Top with uncooked and cooked ham, broccoli, red peppers and carrot in a face shape (see photo) and drizzle with olive oil. Sprinkle pizza with grated cheese and bake on lower rack in preheated oven at 250°C (approximately 475°F) for 15-20 minutes.
