Ground Meat Patties with Pretzel Baguette
Ingredients
- For the patties
- 1 day-old White roll
- 75 milliliters lukewarm milk
- 1 onion
- 1 Tbsp butter
- 600 grams mixed Ground meat
- 1 egg
- 1 Tbsp hot Mustard
- 1 tsp dried marjoram
- 2 Tbsps freshly chopped parsley
- salt
- freshly ground peppers
- breadcrumbs (as needed, 2-3 tablespoons)
- Also
- vegetable oil (to fry)
- 2 Pretzel
- 2 onions
- 1 Tbsp freshly chopped parsley
- freshly grated Horseradish
Preparation steps
For the patties, soak the rustic roll in milk. Peel the onion, chop finely and saute in hot butter until translucent. Add the ground beef with the soaked rustic roll, egg, mustard, onion, marjoram and parsley, and mix well. Season with salt and pepper. If the dough is too soft, mix in the breadcrumbs. Form about 12 small patties out of the mixture and fry in hot oil in a pan until golden brown on each side for 3-4 minutes over medium heat.
Cut the pretzel baguette into slices. Peel the onions, cut into halves and cut into strips. Saute the onions in 1-2 tablespoons hot oil until golden-brown. Sprinkle the parsley and spread the onion mixture over the pretzel slices. Place the fried patties on top of each slice and serve garnished with horseradish.
