2 Tbsps olive oil
1 clove garlic cloves (peeled and minced)
1 Tbsp fresh lemon juice
freshly ground Black pepper (to taste)

Preparation steps

Set grill up for direct grilling and preheat to medium-high heat. Lay trimmed asparagus in a shallow baking dish.

In a small bowl, combine oil, garlic, lemon juice and pepper, whisking to mix. Gently brush both sides of the asparagus with the mixture. Place asparagus on hot grill grate and cook until lightly browned and tender crisp, about 3 to 5 minutes per side depending on thickness of asparagus. Drizzle with any remaining marinade. Serve.
