8 slices Toast (Or Tramezzini)

50 milliliters Whipped cream

Preparation steps

1.

Drain and slice the mozzarella. Cut the crust off the white bread (if necessary). Place mozzarella on half of the slices and season with salt, pepper and oregano. Place the remaining slices of bread on top of the cheese-covered slices, moisten the edges with a little water and press the slices carefully together.

Beat the eggs with the cream and season with salt and pepper. Place the bread in a baking dish and pour the egg cream on top. Turn the bread so as to absorb the liquid.

Heat olive oil in a frying pan and fry the sandwich on each side until golden brown, or for about 2-3 minutes. Blot with paper towels and halve diagonally. Serve with a garnish of fresh oregano.
