For the dough
500 grams Pastry flour
1 packet Dry yeast
150 grams sugar
1 packet dried Oranges (peel)
1 gestr. TL salt
75 milliliters lukewarm condensed milk
75 milliliters lukewarm water
60 grams melted butter
2 eggs
For the topping
1 egg yolk
1 Tbsp milk
Sesame seeds (to sprinkle)
sliced almonds (to sprinkle)

Preparation steps

For the dough, mix the flour and yeast in a bowl. Add sugar, orange peel, salt, milk, water, butter and eggs and mix with the dough hook of the mixer until smooth. Cover and let stand for 30 to 40 minutes in a warm place until the dough has risen. Knead dough on floured surface briefly and divide it into 3 equal pieces.

Roll each piece into equally long ropes. Braid ropes on a parchment paper lined baking sheet, pressing the ends together. Let stand for 10 to 15 minutes. Whisk egg yolk with milk and brush on the dough. Sprinkle with sesame seeds and almonds. Bake in preheated 180°C (approximately 350°F) oven for about 40 minutes.
