150 grams Dried Fruit (mixed, such as apricots, raisins, cranberries, figs)
150 milliliters Marsala wine
1 roll Pumpernickel bread (about 250 g)
2 Tbsps butter
2 rolls Goat cheese (each about 200 g)
2 Tbsps honey
50 grams almonds (unpeeled, roasted, coarsely chopped)

Preparation steps

1.

Cut the dried fruit into small cubes, and soak in Marsala.

Fry the bread in melted butter, until golden brown on both sides. Remove, let cool and cut into 0.7 cm (approximately 1/4 inch) thick slices. Slice the cheese into 1 cm (approximately 3/4 inch) thick slices and spread on the bread slices.

3.

Drain the fruit drain well, mix with honey and nuts, and spoon on top of the cheese. Serve immediately.
