2 eggs
4 slices white bread
4 Tbsps slivered almonds
2 Tbsps sunflower oil
100 grams Red currant jelly
powdered sugar (to dust)

Preparation steps

1.

Whisk together the milk and eggs. Place the sliced almonds in a shallow dish. Working in batches, dip the bread into the milk-egg mixture then coat in almonds. Heat a little oil in a frying pan and cook French toast for about 3 minutes per side, until golden brown. Drain on paper towels.

Heat the jelly in a small saucepan and stir until smooth. Dust the French toast with powdered sugar and serve with the warm jelly.
