125 milliliters water
50 grams sugar
jam sugar (1:1 ratio)

Preparation steps

Rinse the currants, and remove from the vine with a fork. Bring to a boil with the sugar, stirring often. Transfer the mixture to a colander lined with cheesecloth set over a bowl. Drain well, then lightly squeeze the fruit in the cheesecloth. Weigh the juice and add an equal amount of jam sugar to it.

Bring the mixture to a boil, and cook for 4 minutes. Fill the jelly into the sterilized prepared jars. Seal tightly, and turn upside down for 15 minutes. Turn right side up and cool completely.
