- 12 Cherry tomatoes

Broil baguette slices, watching carefully, until golden-brown. Remove, turn on untoasted side and sprinkle with cheese. Broil until cheese is melted.

Peel, halve and core pears. Cut into thin wedges. Place pears on baguette slices.

Rinse and drain tomatoes. Garnish crostini with tomatoes and ground pepper and serve immediately.
