50 milliliters Tomato juice

1 Tbsp vegetable oil

Preparation steps

Peel the carrot and cut into small cubes. Peel and finely chop the onions. Fry the onion and ground beef in hot oil. Add the carrots and cook. Add the tomato paste. Season with salt and pepper. Deglaze with tomato juice. Cook the potatoes in the microwave, peel and mash. Stir in hot milk with the potatoes and season with salt, pepper and nutmeg.

Butter a casserole dish. Preheat oven to 200°C (approximately 400°F). Add the ground beef as the bottom later, then spread on the mashed potatoes and sprinkle with cheese. Bake on the middle rack for 30 minutes. Fry the frozen peas in butter, deglaze with vegetable stock and cook about 5 minutes. Serve the pie with the peas on the side.
