6 egg whites
500 grams powdered sugar
3 tsps Ground cinnamon
4 Tbsps Orange juice
600 grams ground almonds
50 grams chopped almonds
powdered sugar (for dusting)

Preparation steps

Beat the egg whites until stiff. Gradually sprinkle in the sugar and continue beating. Fold the cinnamon, orange juice 500 grams (approximately 18 ounces) of ground almonds and the chopped almonds under the egg whites. Form the dough into a ball, cover and chill for about 1 hour. Preheat the oven to 130°C (approximately 275°F).

Sprinkle the remaining almonds on a work surface and roll the dough out until about 1 cm thick. Use a cookie cutter to cut out stars. Set the cookies on a lined baking sheet. Bake for 25-30 minutes. Remove from the oven and allow to cool. Serve sprinkled with powdered sugar.
