Preparation steps

1.

Melt the butter and allow to cool.

Mix the flour, baking powder, cornstarch, sugar, vanilla sugar, cinnamon and salt. Add the melted butter and knead to a smooth dough.

Preheat the oven to 200°C (approximately 400°F). Line two baking sheets with parchment paper.

Divide the dough into 2-3 cm thick rolls. Cut uniform pieces, roll into balls and put on the baking sheets. Make a well in half of the cookies with the handle of a wooden spoon. Bake for 15-20 minutes until golden brown.

Mix the sugar and cinnamon. Sprinkle the cookies without a well immediately after baking.

6.

Knead the marzipan and cinnamon into a thin roll. Cut slices and press into the wells of the remaining cookies.

7.

Melt the chocolate over a hot water bath. Place in a pastry bag and squeeze spirals on the marzipan. Let the cookies dry before serving.
