Preparation steps

1.

For the chicken, divide chicken into 6-8 parts. Slice chicken on the surface (about ½ cm or approximately 1/5 inch deep), flatten, lay in a flat shape and season with salt and pepper. Sprinkle with lemon juice and let rest for about 30 minutes.

2.

For the marinade, peel ginger and garlic. Finely grate ginger into a bowl. Squeeze garlic through a press into the bowl. Add yogurt to the bowl, mix, add all spices and mix. Add chicken to the bowl, mix and cover bowl with aluminum foil.

3.

Marinate chicken for 8 hours or overnight in the refrigerator. Preheat oven to 180°C (approximately 350°F). Line a baking sheet with aluminum foil and arrange chicken pieces on the foil. Cook chicken in the preheated oven for 35-40 minutes. Coat chicken with the marinade during the cooking time. Serve immediately.
