600 grams starchy potatoes
salt
250 grams Peas (fresh or frozen)
4 scallions
125 milliliters hot milk
1 tsp Wasabi
50 grams butter
12 grilled sausages (preferably Nuremberger)
2 Tbsps vegetable oil

Preparation steps

1.

Peel, rinse and boil the potatoes in salted water for about 30 minutes. Add the peas during the last 5 minutes of cooking.

Rinse the scallions, trim, set aside some for garnish and thinly slice the remainder. Drain the potatoes and the peas and mash. Mix in the hot milk, wasabi and 2-3 tablespoons butter and stir until mashed potatoes are thickened. Mix in the scallions and season with salt.

3.

Gently brown the bratwurst in the remaining butter in a pan over medium heat for about 5 minutes. Turn occasionally.

4.

Place the bratwurst on the mashed potatoes and drizzle with a little melted butter. Serve garnished with scallions.
