- For the waffles
- 1 ¼ cups all-purpose flour
- 1 Baking powder
- 2 Tbsps caster sugar
- ½ tsp salt
- 2 cups milk
- 2 eggs
- 2 Tbsps vegetable oil
- 1 unwaxed Orange (finely grated zest)
- To decorate
- Maple syrup
- 4 Tbsps Whipped cream
- 1 unwaxed Orange (grated zest and segments)

Preparation steps
1.
For the waffles: grease and heat a waffle iron according to the manufacturer's instructions.

Whisk together all the ingredients in a mixing bowl, until well combined and smooth.
3.
Pour about 1/2 cup of the mixture into each well of the waffle maker. Close the lid and cook for 4-6 minutes until golden and crisp.
4.
Put the waffles on serving plates. Pour over the maple syrup and top with a spoonful of whipped cream and orange segments. Sprinkle over a little orange zest.
