6 cups button Mushrooms (sliced)
8 onions (peeled, ends chopped off)
4 Steak (approx. 180 g each)
cup Beef stock
cup Red wine

Preparation steps

1.
Heat the oven to 190°C (170°C in a fan oven), 375°F, gas 5.
2.
Heat a tablespoon of oil and a tablespoon of butter in a pan and fry the mushrooms on a high heat. Season with salt and ground black pepper.

Brush a baking dish with 2 to 3 tablespoons oil. Place the onions in the baking dish and roast for around 30 min.

Heat two tablespoons oil in a pan and fry the steaks for around 3 to 5 min on each side. Remove the stakes from the pan and keep warm. Deglaze the pan with the stock and the wine and reduce to around half. Stir in one tablespoon of cold butter and season with salt and ground black pepper
5.
Arrange the meat and the onions on plates and reheat the mushrooms. Place them on top of the steaks and serve with the gravy.
