- 2 small French Baguette
- 8 thick slices of Gouda
- crushed Tomatoes (with garlic and herbs)
- 1 Beefsteak tomato
- 8 thin slices of cooked ham
- freshly ground pepper
Preparation steps
Halve the baguettes and cut horizontally. Top each side of baguette with a slice of cheese. Spread the crushed tomatoes on the lower halves. Cut the beefsteak tomato into slices and spread along with ham on the lower halves.
Place the baguette halves on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and bake in a preheated oven at 200°C (fan: 180°C, gas mark 3) (approximately 400°F) for 5-10 minutes, until the cheese is melted.
Place the upper baguette halves over the lower ones and serve.
