Preparation steps

1.

Preheat the oven to 180°C (approximately 350°F). Grease 4 single-serving casserole dishes or ramekins with butter.

2.

Peel and quarter the apples then cut out the core and slice. Finely chop the figs finely and sauté briefly in 1 tablespoon of melted butter with the apple slices and 1 tablespoon of brown sugar. Pour in the apple juice and lemon juice and cook for about 10 minutes until the apple slices are soft. Stir in the cinnamon and divide into the casserole dishes.

3.

Finely grind the biscuits and mix with the almonds, the remaining sugar and the remaining butter. Spread over the apple mixture and bake in the oven for about 25 minutes until golden brown.

4.

Serve fresh from the oven or cooled to taste, topped with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.
