250 grams Wheat
2 red Bell pepper
2 tsps fennel seeds
2 Tbsps olive oil
2 Sausage (each about 250 grams)
vegetable oil (for sauteeing)
salt
freshly ground peppers
1 small Arugula

Preparation steps

Soak the wheatberries overnight in cold water, then pour off the remaining liquid, and cover with water for about 1 hour. Cook until soft, about15 minutes and season well with salt. Trim peppers, remove seeds and white membranes, rinse and cut into small cubes. Saute lightly in 2 tablespoons olive oil with fennel seeds, mix with the wheatberries and season with salt and pepper.

Saute the bratwurst in a little oil in a skillet, then cut into thick slices and mix with coarsely chopped arugula and the wheatberries. Spoon onto plates and serve.
