2 Tbsps butter
2 egg whites
40 grams powdered sugar
2 Tbsps Shredded coconut

Preparation steps

Butter baking pan (or four serving ramekins). Rinse, halve and core pears. Drizzle cut surfaces with lemon juice and arrange pear halves in the pan. Combine sugar with cinnamon and butter in a saucepan and heat on low heat until sugar has dissolved. Spread pears with the mixture and bake in preheated oven at 200°C (approximately 400°F) for about 15 minutes or until peras soften slightly.

Beat egg whites until stiff. Gradually add powdered sugar, beating constantly, until mixture is shiny and makes peaks. Fold in shredded coconut.

Remove pears from the oven and spread with meringue. Return to the oven and bake for 5-10 minutes more or until meringue is slightly browned. Remove from the oven and serve warm.
