- For the cake

- 2 cups self-rising flour
- 4 large Pear (peeled and diced)
- For the crumble topping
- ⅓ cup caster sugar
- ¾ cup plain flour
- ½ tsp ground cinnamon
- ¼ cup butter

1 Pot, 1 Bowl, 1 Measuring cups, 1 Cutting board, 1 Large knife, 1 Small knife, 1 Tablespoon, 1 Wooden spoon, 1 Peeler, 1 Sieve, 1 Slotted spoon, 1 Citrus juicer
Preparation steps
1.
For the cake: heat the oven to 180°C (160° fan) 350°F gas 4. Grease a 20cm|8" square baking tin and line the base with non-stick baking paper.

Beat the butter and sugar in a mixing bowl until soft and creamy.

Beat in the eggs, one at a time until blended. Gently stir in the flour.

Spread the mixture evenly in the tin and spoon the pears on top.
5.
For the crumble topping: combine all the ingredients and rub together with your fingers until the mixture clings together in lumps. Sprinkle the crumble topping over the pears.
6.
Bake for 25-30 minutes until the pears are tender and the crumble is golden. Cool in the tin and cut into squares to serve.
