Peel and finely chop onions and garlic. Peel carrots, potatoes and kohlrabi and cut into cubes. Rinse, trim and cut leeks crosswise. Rinse beans and trim ends. Cut beans into pieces.
Heat butter in a large pot. Add onion and cook until softened. Add garlic, carrots, potatoes and kohlrabi and sauté briefly. Add broth and bring to a boil. Stir in marjoram and savory and simmer about 10 minutes. Add beans and leeks and cook 10 minutes more. Add peas.
Simmer peas until tender, 2-3 minutes. Season with salt and pepper.
