Preparation steps

1.

Make a marinade from the oil, the maple syrup, the tomato puree and spices.

2.

Rinse the steaks and the chicken legs, pat dry, brush with the marinade and leave for about 30 minutes in the refrigerator.

3.

Preheat the oven to approximately 180°C.

4.

Brush the chicken legs with a little marinade on a baking sheet lined with baking paper and bake for about 35 minutes in the oven.

5.

Cook the orzo in plenty of boiling salted water until al dente. Then drain and rinse.

6.

Cut the dried tomatoes into small pieces. Rinse and halve the cherry tomatoes. Drain the capers and mozzarella, rinse the basil, pat dry and chop coarsely.

7.

Peel the garlic and onion, press the garlic and cut the onion into thin strips. Heat a pan with olive oil, and cook garlic and onion until translucent.

8.

Add the dried and fresh tomatoes, the pasta and the capers. Season with salt, pepper and 2 tablespoons of lemon juice. Finally, stir in the basil, the cream cheese and the mozzarella balls.

9.

Meanwhile, grill the steaks in a broiler pan on both sides 2-5 minutes (depending on your preference rare, medium or well done). Here again brush with a little marinade. Take the chicken legs from the oven and put with the steaks on warmed plates. Put the orzo and the remaining marinade in a small bowl. Garnish with fresh basil and lemon.
