- 6 Tbsps Maple syrup
- 15 ozs canned Pineapple (rings)
- glacé
- ½ cup clear honey
- ¾ cup butter
- 3 eggs (beaten)
- 2 ¼ cups self-rising flour

Preparation steps
1.
Heat the oven to 180°C/160°C/350°F/gas 4. Pour the maple syrup into the base of a 22cm solid based cake tin.
2.
Arrange the pineapple rings in the base of the tin. Cut any extra rings in half and arrange around the sides. Place a cherry in the centre of each pineapple ring.
3.
Put the honey and butter into a pan, add a tablespoon of water and heat gently until melted.
4.
Remove from the heat and cool slightly then stir in the eggs and flour. Spoon the mixture into the tin and spread over the pineapple. Bake in the oven for 35–40 minutes.
5.
Remove from the oven and cool in the tin. Carefully invert onto a serving plate and eat warm or cold.
