800 grams fully ripe Tomatoes
1 bunch Basil
3 garlic cloves
6 Tbsps olive oil

Preparation steps

1.

Blanch the tomatoes in boiling water. Remove from the water, and rinse under cold water. Peel the skin, and finely chop the pulp.

Rinse, dry, and coarsely chop the basil. Peel and halve the garlic.

3.

Heat the olive oil in a pan. Add the garlic, sauté briefly, and remove from the pan. Add the tomatoes, season with a little salt, and let simmer for 20 minutes.

4.

Add the basil to the sauce, just before serving. Mix to combine, then season to taste with salt and pepper.
