Tofu with Sesame
Cut tofu into bite-sized cubes, about 2 x 2 cm (approximately 3/4 x 3/4 inch).
For marinade, mix together soy sauce, Tabasco, lemongrass, cilantro, sesame oil and lemon juice, and season with salt and pepper. Pour marinade over the tofu cubes and marinate 2-3 hours, then drain.
Heat the frying oil to 180°C (approximately 350°F).
To prepare tofu, place flour in a shallow bowl. Whisk eggs with 1 teaspoon water and place in a shallow bowl. Place sesame seeds on a plate. Dip the tofu cubes in flour, pass through the egg and coat with sesame seeds.
Immediately fry tofu until golden brown in hot oil.
Arrange on a plate drizzled with little soy sauce if desired.
