Sweet Cherry Crumble
The roughage from the spelt flour and oat flakes support digestion, while the cherries add vitamins and antioxidants.
The crumble will be especially crunchy if you add another tablespoon of almond slivers to the crumble.
Preheat the oven to 350°F. Grease a casserole dish with butter.
Mix both flours with the oats, sugar, vanilla sugar and salt. Cut the butter into small cubes and rub into the flour mixture, rolling between your fingers to make crumbs.
Rinse the cherries and remove the pits. Place the cherries into the casserole dish. Spread the crumbs over the cherries and bake for about 35 minutes in the preheated oven, until golden brown.
Serve warm or at room temperature. For an extra treat, top with whipped cream or vanilla sauce.
