- For the crust
- 200 g butter (soft)
- salt
- 2 eggs
- 100 grams sugar
- 400 grams Pastry flour
- Pastry flour (to roll out)
- For the topping
- 200 grams very soft butter
- 150 grams sugar
- 1 tsp lemon zest
- 1 packet Vanilla sugar
- 300 grams Pastry flour
- Fat (for the baking tray)
- 1 kilogram Strawberries

Preparation steps
1.
For the dough: Knead together the butter, salt, eggs, sugar, and flour until smooth. Wrap in plastic and chill for at least 30 minutes.

For the streusel: Crumble the butter, sugar, lemon peel, vanilla sugar, and flour until crumbly. Chill for 30 minutes. Rinse the strawberries and cut into pieces.

Roll out the dough on a table lightly dusted with flour to a rectangle of about 30 x 45 cm (approximately 12 x 18 inches) and place on a greased sheet tray. Prick the dough with a fork and distribute the strawberries on top.
4.
Sprinkle with the streusel and bake in a preheated oven at 200°C (approximately 400°F) for about 30 minutes. Let cool slightly and cut into pieces. Serve garnished with whipped cream.
