300 grams white Beans
1 l water
200 grams cooked ham (thick slices, without fat)
2 bay leaves
1 stem Savory
½ tsp black peppercorns
2 onions
2 carrots
300 grams potatoes
2 Tbsps butter
150 grams fresh, green thick Beans
2 garlic cloves
salt
freshly ground peppers
apple cider vinegar
Basil pesto (from a jar)

Preparation steps

1.

Soak the white beans in water with the bay leaf and peppercorns overnight.

Add the savory to the pot with the beans. Cook for 30-40 minutes.

Peel the onions and dice. Peel, rinse and finely chop the potatoes and carrots. Peel and finely chop the garlic. Cut the ham into cubes.

4.

Saute the potatoes, carrots, onions and garlic in hot butter. Add the drained white beans. Season with salt and cook for another 10 minutes. Add the green beans and cook for another 10 minutes, until the potatoes are soft. Add the diced ham. Season with 1 tablespoon of vinegar, salt and pepper. Serve hot with a dollop of basil pesto.
