4 Tbsps raisins
¼ cup dark Rum
4 Apple
¼ cup butter (melted)
ground cinnamon
1 Tbsp sugar
2 Tbsps chopped almonds
4 Tbsps runny honey

Preparation steps

1.
Heat the oven to 180°C (160°C fan ),375°F, gas 5. Butter a baking dish.
2.
Soak the raisins in the rum.
3.
Core the apples and place in the baking dish. Cut around the skin of each apple with a sharp knife. Brush some of the butter inside the apples and sprinkle with a little cinnamon and sugar.
4.
Mix together the soaked raisins and the almonds and place them inside the apples. Drizzle with the remaining butter and sprinkle with the rest of the cinnamon and sugar. Bake for 30-35 minutes until tender.
5.
Place the apples on a warm serving plate.
6.
Heat the honey and pour over the apples. Serve immediately.
