- 6 ½ cups Apple (peeled and chopped)
- 4 Tbsps sugar
- 1 tsp lemon zest
- cinnamon
- ground cloves

Preparation steps
1.
Place the apples, sugar, lemon zest and a pinch of the spices in 3 tbsp water and simmer for a few minutes until the apples soften.

Season and serve either warm or cold. Alternatively pour into a jar and leave to cool.
