100 grams Rye flour (1150 type)
150 grams ground Hazelnuts
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1 teaspoon Gingerbread spice
1 teaspoon Orange zest
250 grams softened butter
250 grams brown sugar
4 eggs
2 tablespoons arrack (southeast Asian spirit) (liquor)
200 milliliters milk

Preparation steps

1.

Preheat the oven to 180°C (approximately 350°F). Grease the cake pan with butter and dust with flour.

Combine the two types of flour with the ground hazelnuts, cinnamon, gingerbread spice and orange zest.

Beat the butter and brown sugar until smooth and creamy. Add the eggs, one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Slowly add the flour mixture alternately with the milk. Stir in the arrack liquor and pour into the prepared cake pan. Bake for 1 hour, until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.

Remove from the oven and allow to cool slightly before removing from the pan. Slice and serve.
