- 200 grams Margarine (or butter)
- 200 grams sugar
- 5 eggs
- 100 grams cornstarch
- 200 grams Whole wheat flour
- 3 tsps Baking powder
- 1 pkg Gingerbread spice
- 3 Tbsps Cocoa
- 100 grams chopped almonds
- 100 grams minced candied orange
- 100 grams minced Candied lemon
- Fat (for the pan)
- 100 grams peeled almonds
- 50 grams Apricot jam
Preparation steps

Beat the butter and sugar until fluffy. Gradually stir in the eggs. Mix the cornstarch, flour and baking powder. Mix the flour mixture with the gingerbread spices, cocoa, almonds and candied fruit. Fold in the butter mixture. Spread the batter evenly on a greased baking sheet. Press whole almonds into the batter. Bake for 15-20 minutes at 200°C (approximately 400°F). Spread the jam on the hot cake, cut into pieces and serve.
