4 small Turkey leg
4 tablespoons Oil
4 cloves garlic cloves (peeled and halved)
1 green pepper (seeds removed and chopped)
2 onions (diced)
2 chili peppers (cut into rings)
4 sprigs thyme
2 sprigs rosemary
4 tomatoes (skinned; seeds removed; chopped)
cup chicken stock
2 ⅓ cups shrimp (cleaned, deveined and peeled apart from the tail segment)
salt (to taste)
cayenne pepper (to taste)

Preparation steps

Heat 2 tablespoons oil in a dutch oven and sauté the turkey legs on both sides over a fairly high heat until browned, about 10 minutes. Remove from pan and set aside.

In the same pan sauté the garlic, pepper, onions and chilies. Mix in the herbs and tomatoes and add the stock. Return the turkey legs to the pan, cover and braise for about 40 minutes.

Add the shrimp and cook gently for another 5-6 minutes. Finally season to taste with salt and cayenne pepper. Serve with bread.
