- 16 ozs fresh, lump Crabmeat
- 1 large egg
- ¼ cup Mayonnaise
- 1 tsp Dijon mustard
- 1 pinch crushed Red pepper flakes
- ¼ tsp paprika
- 1 pinch ground ginger
- 1 pinch ground cloves
- 1 pinch Celery salt
- 1 tsp lemon juice
- ½ tsp Worcestershire sauce
- ¼ tsp salt
- 1 ¼ cups fresh breadcrumbs
- 1 Tbsp chopped parsley
- 2 Tbsps butter
- 1 Tbsp olive oil
- To garnish
- Corn
- Lemon wedge
Preparation steps

Put the crab in a mixing bowl and set aside.

Whisk together the egg, mayonnaise, mustard, red pepper flakes, spices, celery salt, lemon juice, Worcestershire sauce and salt.

Mix into the crab until well combined.

Add the breadcrumbs and parsley and mix well. Cover with cling film and chill for 1 hour.

Shape the crab mixture into 8 cakes about 2.5cm|1" thick.
6.
Heat the butter and oil in a large frying pan and add the crab cakes. Cook for 4-5 minutes until golden brown on the base, then turn the cakes over, reduce the heat and cook until golden brown.
7.
Serve with corn on the cob and lemon wedges.
