1 kilogram Pork sausage (smoked, raw, seasoned)
800 grams fresh Sauerkraut
½ l Broth
1 bay leaf
7 Juniper berries
salt (and pepper)
2 Tbsps butter
700 grams baby potatoes
2 Tbsps parsley (chopped)

Preparation steps

1.

Place sauerkraut in a saucepan with broth, bay leaf and juniper berries, cover and simmer over low heat for about 30 minutes.

2.

Meanwhile, scrub potatoes thoroughly and cook in a pot of boiling salted water until knife-tender, about 20 minutes. Drain and rinse in cold water, then drain again.

3.

Fry sausages in a skillet until cooked. Add to the saucepan, mix with sauerkraut and simmer for another 15 minutes.

4.

Arrange sauerkraut on a plate, place sausages on top and place halved potatoes with the cut side up on the side. Serve garnished with parsley.
