150 grams Crème fraiche

75 grams breadcrumbs
100 grams freshly grated Gouda
parsley (for sprinkling)

Preparation steps

1.

Preheat the oven to 200 ° C top and bottom heat Preheat.

Peel onion and chop finely. Rinse parsley, shake dry and chop finely.

3.

Heat 1 tablespoon of butter in a pan and saute onion until soft. Add parsley and remove from heat.

Peel, rinse and quarter rutabaga. Cut quarters crosswise into thin slices and arrange, overlapping, in a baking dish.

Whisk cream, eggs and crème fraîche with onion mixture, season with salt, pepper and caraway seeds and spread on rutabaga. Combine breadcrumbs and cheese and sprinkle on gratin. Dot with butter pieces. 

6.

Bake in preheated oven at 200°C (approximately 400°F) for about 40 minutes or until golden brown.

7.

Sprinkle with parsley and serve immediately.
