- 1 kilogram fresh, ripe Rose hip
- 300 grams cane sugar
- ½ Cinnamon stick
- 4 cloves
- ½ lemon
- ½ Orange
- 1 ½ liters good Brandy

Preparation steps

Remove the stems and flowers from the rosehip.

Place the fruit in a large glass bowl. Sprinkle with the sugar, and mix well. Chill in the refrigerator overnight. The next day, transfer the contents to a bottle or sealable container. Add the cinnamon stick, lemon zest, and orange zest. Mix in the brandy or cognac. Seal well, then store for 2-2 1/2 months in a bright place.

Strain the liqueur through a colander line with cheeseloth. Squeeze the mixture to make sure all the liquid is removed. Transfer the liqueur into clean bottles, then rest for 4 more weeks in a cool place.
