1 ⅔ cups flour
2 cups milk
½ tsp Baking powder
3 Tbsps clarified butter
2 ripe Apple (e. g. Boskop, peeled, cored and sliced)
12 rashers Bacon
2 Tbsps fresh marjoram

Preparation steps

1.
Mix together the eggs, flour, milk, baking powder and a pinch of salt to form a smooth dough. Leave to rest for 20 min.

Heat the oven to 200°C (180°C in a fan oven), 400°F, gas 6.

Heat some clarified butter in a pan and add a ladle of the pancake mixture. Tilt the pan to distribute the mixture evenly and arrange three or four apple slices on top. Place two or three rashers of bacon on top of the apples and bake in the oven until golden brown.
4.
Continue like this until everything has been used up. Serve garnished with fresh marjoram leaves.
