200 grams Cornmeal

20 grams butter
2 Tbsps freshly grated Parmesan

150 grams freshly grated Fontina cheese

Preparation steps

Bring about 750 ml (approximately 3 cups) of salted water to a boil. Add polenta and simmer, stirring constantly, until polenta leaves the sides of the pan. Add butter and Parmesan and stir well, season with salt and pepper. Arrange on a greased baking sheet about 1 cm thick (approximately 1/2 inch).

Cut into semicircles with a cookie cutter and layer them, overlapping, in a buttered pan. Sprinkle with cheese and bake in preheated oven at 180°C (approximately 350°F) until godlen brown. Remove from oven and serve immediately.
