- For the soup
- 1 onion
- 1 carrot
- 2 Tbsps butter
- 100 grams yellow Split pea
- 1 tsp Curry powder
- 1 Mango
- 1 Tbsp lemon juice
- salt
- cayenne pepper
- For the garnishing
- sesame oil
- 2 Tbsps chopped Pistachio
- mint

Preparation steps
1.
For the soup: peel and dice onion and carrot. Heat butter in a saucepan and saute onion and carrot for about 1-2 minutes. Add peas and curry powder and saute briefly. Add broth and simmer for about 1 hour, stirring occasionally, or until peas are soft.

Peel and pit mango, dice pulp. Add to the soup and puree soup finely. Depending on desired consistency, add more broth or simmer soup down. Season with lemon juice, salt and cayenne pepper.
3.
Pour soup intp bowls and garnish with a few drops of sesame oil, pistachio and mint leaves.
4.
Serve, if desired, with Papadam.
