Ingredients

- 1 chicken (approximately 1.5 kg)
- 1 shallot
- 2 garlic cloves
- 1 pc fresh ginger (about 2 cm)
- 1 Red chili pepper
- 2 Tbsps sesame oil
- 2 Tbsps soy sauce
- 2 Tbsps Lime juice
- 1 tsp sweet ground paprika
- 800 grams small potatoes
- 2 Tbsps olive oil (for the baking dish)
- salt
- 2 Limes (for garnish)
Preparation steps
Rinse the chicken, pat dry and divide into 8 pieces. Peel the shallot, peel the garlic and the ginger and cut all into very small cubes. Rinse the chile pepper, cut in half, remove the seeds and also small cubes. Add together with the sesame oil, soy sauce, lime juice and chili powder in a bowl and mix well, add the chicken pieces and let marinate at least 1 hour in the refrigerator.
Preheat the oven to 180°C (approximately 350°) upper and lower heat.
Rinse the potatoes thoroughly and place in an oiled, ovenproof dish. Sprinkle with a little oil sprinkle and salt and bake in the oven for about 40 minutes.
Place the chicken pieces on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper baking sheet, brush each side with marinade and bake along with the potatoes 25 minutes before end of cooking.
Remove the chicken pieces and the potatoes from the oven, brush the chicken again with marinade. Place both on plates or in bowls with serve with sliced lime wedges.
