1 ⅕ kilograms mussels
1 garlic clove
4 Tbsps finely chopped almonds
½ tsp ground paprika (sweet)
1 generous pinch ground paprika
salt
1 Tbsp chopped parsley
2 Tbsps olive oil

Preparation steps

1.

Brush off the mussels and rinse under running water. In lightly salted water, cook for about 5 minutes until they open. Throw away the still-closed shells.

2.

Remove the upper shell of the cooked mussels, and place the lower shells next to the mussel meat in an ovenproof dish.

3.

Peel garlic and chop finely. Mix with the almonds, both types of paprika, salt, oil and parsley.

4.

Top the mussels with the almond mixture and cook in a preheated oven at 220°C (approximately 430°F) until a golden brown crust forms.
