800 grams starchy potatoes

2 Tbsps vegetable oil
2 Tbsps butter
250 milliliters lukewarm milk

Preparation steps

1.

Peel the potatoes, rinse and cook in boiling salted water for about 30 minutes.

Meanwhile, peel the onions, cut in half then cut into thin strips. Heat the oil in a frying pan and sweat the onions until translucent. Remove, drain on paper towels and set aside.

3.

Drain the potatoes, let the steam evaporate, mash with a potato masher and mix in the butter and milk until smooth. Mix in the onions and season with salt, pepper and nutmeg.
